I pay my council tax each month but, if I’m a few days late, I get a letter saying the council will withdraw the arrangement if I don’t pay on time.
Well, how about Brighton and Hove City Council keeping its side of the bargain by making sure household waste is collected on time?
Ever since the dispute with the dustmen, the service has gone to pot. The council is in power to serve the people of this city and keep it running efficiently, not to keep ploughing on with pet projects.
It should pay workers extra to get rubbish cleared and the city cleaned up and back to normal. The service has never been as bad as it is now.
Oh, and please don’t send me any more recycling schedules because we don’t understand them and they are never right.
