I write in reference to last Monday’s story in The Argus about “seafront collapse fears”.
Can’t Brighton and Hove City Council just put up signs advising the public to be aware of falling masonary, or is it to do with insurance?
If it is going to close this area, is it going to close the undercliff as well after the Government spends millions on sea defences?
And what about the beaches with people being swept out to sea? Surely, we should fence them off as well.
And what about flying shingle hitting somebody on the head during a storm?
And what about the railings along the upper promenade? They are way too low.
Let’s just close the whole city and tell everybody to go elsewhere. I wonder, is it just the case it doesn’t want Brighton Speed Trials any more?
Nothing will surprise me with this council.
I’m off to Eastbourne.
