A man arrested on suspicion of murder has been released without charge.
It follows the sudden death of Susan Bowles, 55, of Hastings, on November 13.
Ms Bowles was found dead in the communal area of flats in George Street, Hastings.
A post-mortem found that her death had resulted from a head injury.
A 61-year old man from Hastings who was arrested on suspicion of her murder was due to answer to police bail today, but that requirement has now been cancelled.
Detective Chief Inspector Jon Fanner said: "After a thorough investigation Susan's death is no longer being treated as suspicious and a report will be submitted to the East Sussex coroner.”
