A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of supplying class A drugs after received a call from a concerned resident.

Officers who responded found a boy matching the suspect's description in Hollington Old Lane, St Leonard, and he was detained.

A search revealed 34 wraps, believed to contain Class A drugs, which the boy is thought to have been dealing. After being interviewed, he was released on bail until Sunday, 15 June while enquiries continue.

PC Grant Freeman, of the Hollington Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: "The information that led to this arrest came in directly to our team from a concerned resident.

"I can't stress enough how important it is for people to talk to their local officers about what happens in their area. By talking to us and sharing what you know can lead to positive action being taken."
