A man who jumped off a bridge has been arrested in connection with the death of a high-class prostitute.
The body of porn star and sex worker Trudy Webb was found at her flat on Tuesday morning.
Her customers, who paid up to £2,000 a night for sex, included businessmen and celebrities.
Sussex Police asked Metropolitan Police to search the flat in Wandsworth, London, an hour after they arrested a man in Brighton.
The 28-year-old had been detained under the Mental Health Act after he leapt 12ft off a bridge above Mill Road in Brighton on Tuesday morning.
Traffic had been brought to a standstill while police negotiators, who feared he would walk across and jump from a bridge above the nearby A23, tried to coax him down.
The man, from London, is now being questioned about the murder of Ms Webb.
A friend of the 30-year-old call girl said: "She was the best money could buy - the Queen bee. Trudy told me who she had slept with and I was stunned. The famous people included a superstar singer, a Premiership football player and a boy band member who looks like butter wouldn't melt in his mouth.
"Clients would fly her around the world at a moment's notice - Arab businessmen, rich City boys and top bankers."
Trudy, who advertised herself as a lookalike of underwear model Caprice, claimed on her website to have slept with more than 1,000 men and women.
The mother-of-one, who sent her ten-year-old daughter to a top boarding school, had set up her own escort agency six years ago.
