The seventh annual EuroGay Cup Regatta will be held in Brighton in June.
It will be the second time the Gay UK Sailing Team (Gust) has hosted the event in Britain and up to 60 competitors in teams of four or five crew are expected to turn up on June 9 and 10.
Gust will be organising a social event for other LGBT sailors to coincide with the regatta, which is being hosted by SailNet, which operates from Brighton Marina.
The Gay UK Sailing Team was set up in 2000 to provide a competitive team for the 2002 Sydney Gay Games, where sailing was included for the first time.
It won the team silver medal in Sydney and has won the EuroGay Cup twice.
