A new guide has been published to help companies become greener.
The Sustainability Mini Guide, by Business Link Sussex, contains 40 practical tips to help firms protect the environment while boosting their own profits.
The advice includes checking for leaks, regularly defrosting freezers and switching off electrical items overnight.
David Ripley, business development manager at Business Link said: "Sustainability is one of today's corporate buzzwords but it's basically all to do with planning for a long-term and profitable future.
"Businesses that want to survive must develop the habit of reducing their use of resources or face spiralling utility bills year after year."
