Naser Abdalla Haji, 21, a resident at Mill View Hospital, Nevile Avenue, Hove pleaded guilty to assaulting PC Peter Blake, refusing to give a sample of breath when suspected of drink-driving, using threatening or insulting words or behaviour and possession of amphetamine. He will be sentenced at a later date.

Mark Perry, 48, of Blackman Street, Brighton was found guilty of following and staring at Claire Stewart in Brighton’s London Road which he was banned from doing by a restraining order. He was jailed for eight weeks.

Michael Buss, 36, of Pelham Close, Peacehaven, was found guilty of failing to give police the details of the driver of an Audi car. He was fined £50 and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge.

David Newland, 59, of Windsor Close, Hove, was found guilty of harassing Helen Cox by sending her a Christmas card, phoning her and her mother despite being previously served a harassment notice.

Steven Brooker, 37, of New Steine Mews, Brighton, pleaded guilty to consuming alcohol in a public place which he is banned from doing by an antisocial behaviour order. He also admitted breaching a previous suspended sentence. He was jailed for three weeks.

Desmond McHale, 24, of Southsea Road, Kingston upon Thames, pleaded guilty to the burglary of St Pancras Respytery, Lewes and failing to surrender to Brighton Magistrates’ Court. He was jailed for 18 weeks.

Jean Belpomme, 68, of Cranmer Avenue, Hove was found guilty of driving a Porsche Carrera whilst there was 71 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 ml of his breath. He was fined £1,650, ordered to pay costs of £740 and disqualified from driving for 18 months.

Kristopher Everitt, 30, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in Goffs Park Road, Crawley and assaulting a police officer. He was fined £120.

Jordan Kennett, 34, of Hedge End, Bognor pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in St Pancras, Chichester, possession of cannabis and failing to surrender to Worthing Magistrates’ Court. He was fined £574.

Peter Donelly, 28, of Argyle Road, Bognor, admitted stealing a bottle of amaretto from Morrisons. He was fined £50 and ordered to pay £12.99 compensation and £85 costs. He also pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis, for which he was given a six-month conditional discharge.

Brett Palmer, 35, of Hene Road, Worthing, was found guilty of drink-driving and admitted refusing to give police his details. He will be sentenced on June 17.

Richard Harber, 37, of Church Lane, Horley was found guilty in his absence of assault. He will be sentenced on June 6.

Alexander Hollis, 36, of Malthouse Road, Crawley, pleaded guilty to seven counts of fraudulently trying to obtain prescription drugs using a prescription in another person’s name and possession of temazepam, theft of clothing from H&M Crawley. He will be sentenced on August 7.

Joe Masterson, 23, of Copthorne Road, Felbridge, pleaded guilty to assaulting Georgie Worsfold and damaging a mirror, two picture frames and a candleholder belonging to her. He will be sentenced on June 5.

Kerry Pasrons, 33, of Black Dog Walk, Crawley, pleaded guilty to harassing Jason Wrightby, making numerous calls and text messages to him. He was bailed until June 5 for sentence.

Daniel Sherwood, 23, of Arncliffe Road, Wakefield, Yorkshire was found guilty in his absence of two counts of assaulting Natasha Davies, assaulting three police officers, committing an offence while subject to a conditional discharge, and failing to surrender to Worthing Magistrates’ Court. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Paul Tilson, 47, of Hampers Green, Petworth, pleaded guilty to harassment by sending a series of sexual text messages. He was given a community order to attend alcohol treatment and complete 200 hours of unpaid work. He was also issued a restraining order banning him from contacting the victim or entering Oliver Road, Horsham.

Ryan Evans, 21, of Scholars Close, Crawley Down, admitted failing to comply with a community order. He was resentenced for the original offences of destroying a window belonging to Corals betting shop and destroying a window, car window and bathroom door. He was given a 12-week custodial sentence, suspended for 12 months.

Anthony Oram, 29, of Linden Close, Crawley admitted breaching a community punishment. He was ordered to complete 86 hours’ unpaid work including an additional six hours for the breach and ordered to pay costs of £70.

Alessandro Raciti, 27, of Hazen Hurst, Crescent, Horsham, admitted failing to comply with a community order. He will be resentenced.

Alfie Robinson, 21, of Chantonbury Road, Burgess Hill, admitted failing to comply with a community order issued for possession of a knuckle-duster in a car in Burgess Hill. The order was revoked and he was ordered to pay £70 costs.

Peter Arnold, 52, of Peeks Brook Lane, Horley pleaded guilty to not wearing a seatbelt in a Volkswagen Golf at Gatwick and driving without due care and attention. The case was adjourned to August 11.

Lee Warrent, 35, of Fishersgate Terrace, Portslade, pleaded guilty to assault. He was ordered to complete 60 hours of community service and to pay £150 of compensation.

Phillip Williams, 63, of Kingsway, Hove, pleaded guilty to using racially aggravated harassment. He also admitted failing to notify the police of a change of address as a registered sex offender and acting in a manner in breach of a previous antisocial behaviour order. He was bailed to be sentenced on June 4.

Jamie Cooper, 19, of Alfriston Close, Brighton admitted breaching a community order issued by Brighton Magistrates’ Court, by failing to perform unpaid work without a reasonable excuse. He was ordered to complete an extra 20 hours’ community service and pay £50 court costs.

Jayjay Pardew, 26, of High Street, Brighton admitted breaching a curfew imposed by Brighton Magistrates’ Court by not being home on three separate occasions. His curfew was extended by a week and he was ordered to pay £50 costs.

Danny Hawkins, 35, of Rainham Road South, Dagenham, Essex, pleaded guilty to using threatening words and behaviour causing fear of violence. He will be sentenced at a later date.

Chris Pickett, 22, of Hengist Road, Erith, Kent was found guilty of using threatening words and behaviour causing fear of violence. He was fined £310 and ordered to pay £210 costs.

Richard Gray, 50 of no fixed abode, admitted a breach of the peace. He was bound over in the sum of £50 and ordered to keep the peace for 12 months.

Michael Moles, 65, of Stanley Road, Littlehampton pleaded guilty to assault and breaching a bail condition banning him from contacting the victim. He was bailed to July 2 for sentence.

Christopher Way, 32, of The Heights, Findon Valley, pleaded guilty to stealing four bottles of wine from Tesco. He was bailed to July 7 for sentence.

Antonio Belmonte, 33, of Church Lane, Horsham, pleaded guilty to approaching the victim in his vehicle and flashing headlights at her and asking if she was okay, he also visited her address and gave her 24 red roses, followed her from Southwater bonfire to her father’s home, telephoned her father to say he loved her, rang her doorbell and sent a text message to her sister, all of which he is banned from doing by a restraining order. He was given a 12-week sentence suspended for 12 months and ordered to carry out 60 hours’ of unpaid work. He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and an £80 victim surcharge.

Lisa Davitt, 38, of no fixed abode, admitted failing to comply with a community order made at Crawley Magistrates’ Court for an original offence of causing harassment, alarm or distress, trespassing on a railway, having a knife in a public place and stealing clothing from Sports Direct. She was given a six-week sentence suspended for 12 months.

Tyrone Hodge, 26, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to stealing ten pairs of sunglasses worth £1,303 from Boots in Horsham, two shirts from Beals in Horsham, an Adidas tracksuit from Sports Direct and using threatening or abusive words or behaviour towards Gavin Lewis. He was sentenced to 12 weeks in custody, suspended for 12 months.

Natalie Taylor, 25, of Anscombe Road, Worthing admitted breaching a suspended sentence by failing to attend supervision appointments. She was bailed to be sentenced on June 9.

Mina Abdel-Malek, 26, pleaded guilty to driving whilst unfit through drugs. He was fined £625 and disqualified from driving for 12 months.

Neil Dickens, 31, of River Mead Road, Worthing, pleaded guilty to driving without insurance and without a valid licence. He was fined £210 and given six penalty points.

Christopher Docherty, 27, of Little Bentswood Close, Haywards Heath, pleaded guilty to stealing uncooked meats and cakes from Morrisons and committing further offences whilst subject to a conditional discharge. He was bailed to be sentenced on June 5.

Alessio Fenu, 32, of Bentswood Road, Haywards Heath, pleaded guilty to harassing Ara Ansell by sending her abusive text messages and abuse in person. He was bailed until June 5 for sentence.

Paul Green, 30, of Peskett Close, Barns Green, Horsham pleaded guilty to drink driving. He was fined £110 and disqualified from driving for 36 months.

James Harrison, of Briber Road, Blyth, Nottinghamshire, pleaded guilty to assault and assaulting a police constable in the execution of his duty. He was fined £221 and ordered to pay £246 costs.

Kirstine Jarrett, 21, of Boston Road, Haywards Heath, pleaded guilty to causing criminal damage to a door belonging to the YMCA. She was ordered to pay £240 compensation.

Majed Jazairi, 43, of Durrington Gardens, Goring, pleaded guilty to stealing a pair of Police sunglasses worth £108 and perfume and cosmetics worth £607 at Gatwick’s North Terminal. He was fined £135 and ordered to pay £105 costs.

Sebastian Lopez-Pardo, 36, of Deerswood Close, Crawley, pleaded guilty to driving whilst unfit through drugs. He was bailed to be sentenced on September 15.

Mayur Nayee, 35, of Monarch Close, Crawley, caused criminal damage to a bedroom wall. He was given an 18-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £100 costs.

Robert Young, 31, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to handling stolen goods. He was given a 12-month conditional discharge.

Luis De Freitas, 25, of Wroxham Walk, Crawley, pleaded guilty to stealing alcohol and food from Tesco worth £20 and committing an offence whilst subject to a conditional discharge for possession of cannabis. He was fine £100.

Harinder Dhami, 41, of Fenchurch Road, Crawley, pleaded guilty to drink driving, driving whilst disqualified and driving without insurance. He was bailed to June 5 for sentence.

George Groom, 35, of Gordon Road, Haywards Heath, pleaded guilty to fraud after applying for a Wonga loan of £250 in someone else’s name and stealing a bank card and cash belonging to Alexander Spencer. He was bailed to June 5 for sentence.

Jamie Hughes, 37, of Hagar Close, Colchester, Essex, pleaded guilty to making off without paying for £364 worth of car parking charges at Gatwick. He was given a 12-month conditional discharge, ordered to pay £60 compensation and £15 costs.

Afshan Javad, 31, of Jordans Crescent, Crawley, pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention and was fined £35, given three penalty points and ordered to pay £10 costs.

Serkan Ozey, 34, of Curteys Walk, Crawley pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis. He was fined £200 and ordered to pay £105 costs.

Lily Samengo-Turner, 23, of Brantridge Lane, Haywards Heath, pleaded guilty to drink driving and failing to report an accident. She was disqualified from driving for 16 months and fined £570.

Charlotte Younger, 34, of Honeysuckle Walk, Horsham, pleaded guilty to stealing meat and biscuits from a One Stop Shop and four bottles of wine from Co-op. She will be sentenced on June 12.

Virginia Bailey, 48, of Bentswood Road, Haywood Heath, pleaded guilty to criminal damage of a monitor belonging to Lloyds Bank and a window belonging to Ashraf Hussein. She was ordered to pay £100 compensation. She also pleaded guilty to causing harassment, alarm or distress to Anne-Marie Harding and causing criminal damage at Lloyds Pharmacy and was given a 12-month conditional discharge.

Matthew Berry, 20, of Meadow Lane, Burgess Hill, pleaded guilty to two counts of fraud by booking rooms at the Birch Hotel using Joan Berry’s credit card. He was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £202 compensation.

EPS Parking Limited, Chertsey Road, Woking, Surrey, found guilty in absence of claiming to be a Trading Standards’ Buy With Confidence approved operator on the home, about, booking, testimonial and homepage pages of www.epsmeetandgreet.co.uk. Fined £10,000, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £120 and costs of £2,683.

Vincent John Fisher, 43, of Shelley Road, Worthing, pleaded guilty to stealing a bicycle worth £250 in Shoreham. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay compensation of £250. Also stole a bicycle worth £300 from Shoreham. Given a 12-month conditional discharge, ordered to pay compensation of £300, victim surcharge of £15 and costs of £85.

Sheila Gladys Meaden, 29, of Burchetts Road, Haywards Heath, pleaded guilty to stealing clothing worth £56.50 from Marks and Spencer in The Orchards, Haywards Heath. Fined £33. Also pleaded guilty to making racially aggravated threats or abuse or behaviour or disorderly behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress. Fined £50, ordered to pay victim surcharge of £20 and costs of £47.

Ben Wood, 23, of Seafield Road, Hove, entered a compulsory ticket area at Gatwick Railway Station on the Croydon Tramlink System when he did not have a valid ticket for his entire journey. Fined £200, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20 and costs of £85.

Aurimas Bartusas, 29, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to begging in North Street, Brighton and failing to surrender without reasonable excuse to custody at Brighton Magistrates’ Court having been released on bail. Fined £50, ordered to pay victim surcharge of £20 and detained in the courthouse, already served by time spent in custody.

Shane Bond, 19, of Mill Gap Road, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to stealing two bottles of Jay Z perfume to the value of £80 from Superdrug in Terminus Road, Eastbourne, failed without reasonable excuse to surrender to custody at Hastings Magistrates’ Court, having been released on bail, stole two Valentina perfumes to the value of £137.70 from Debenhams, Eastbourne, failed to comply with the requirements of a community order made by Brighton Magistrates’ Court. Original offences taken back into consideration stole two boxes of fragrance to the value of £94 from Debenhams, Eastbourne, had in his possession 0.21g of class A drug diamorphine, failed to attend a follow-up assessment, jointly stole toiletries to the value of £311 from Debenhams, Eastbourne, failed to surrender to custody at Hastings’ Magistrates Court. Committed to prison for 27 weeks in total.

Sarah Ella Barrett, 35, of Marine Parade, Brighton, pleaded guilty to destroying a pane of glass to the value of £20 belonging to William Collier House, Brighton and failed without reasonable excuse to surrender to custody at Brighton Magistrates’ Court. Ordered to pay compensation of £40.

Rory John Fagan, 24, of Radnor Road, Weybridge, Surrey, pleaded guilty to begging on Queens Road, Brighton and failed without reasonable excuse to surrender to Brighton Magistrates’ Court. Fined £100, ordered to pay £20 victim surcharge and detained in the courthouse, already served by time spent in custody.

Loyola Iraeta Odriozola, 63, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to dishonestly making off without having paid £23.65 for a restaurant meal and drinks in Crawley, failing without reasonable excuse to surrender at Crawley Magistrates’ Court, obtaining a meal and drinks knowing he could not pay, commission of a further offence whilst subject to a 12-month conditional discharge, stole a bottle of wine to the value of £2.09 from Tesco Express in Commonwealth Drive, Crawley, damaged a glass door belonging to The Strada, Brighton, consuming a pizza to the value of £11.75 knowing a payment would not be made, stealing one can of Guinness to the value of £6.43 from the Co-operative in Western Road, Hove. Community order made to participate in community reintegration programme for four days.

James Michael Morey, 29, from Brighton Road, Shoreham, pleaded guilty to assault by beating. Community order made, restraining order made preventing defendant from contacting the victim directly or indirectly or visiting address in Portland Road, Hove, fined £100, ordered to pay victim surcharge of £60 and costs of £85.

Christopher Michael Smith, 31, of Christopher Road, Swansea, stole two Lindemans bottles of wine from the Co-op in Western Road, Hove. Fined £73 and ordered to pay victim surcharge of £20.

Lee Damon Foulkes, 43, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to urinating in a public place whilst drunk and disorderly, which he was prohibited from doing by an anti-social behaviour order. Community order made, ordered to pay victim surcharge of £60 and costs of £85.

Jeremy Mark Pendry, 43, of Brighton Road, Worthing, pleaded guilty to damaging a car windscreen to the value of £250 at Downsway, Southwick, stealing a handbag and contents and a mobile phone at Flag Square, Shoreham, two counts of assault by beating and commission of a further offence whilst on a suspended sentence. Jailed for 13 weeks, 26 weeks, 26 weeks and 26 weeks, to run concurrently, suspended for 24 months, supervision period of 24 months, curfew for three months, restraining order. Ordered to pay compensation of £2,000 and costs of £100.

Matthew Thomas Brown, 21, of Ham Road, Worthing, pleaded guilty to failing to surrender to Worthing Magistrates’ Court without reasonable excuse, assault by beating at Occasions Night Club, Marine Parade, Worthing, assault by beating at Marine Parade, Worthing. Fined £25, ordered to pay victim surcharge of £20, remanded on unconditional bail until June 3 to tie up with other cases.

Daniel Reece Deravairere, 22, of no fixed abode, admitted breaching the community requirement of a suspended sentence order. Original offence, sole a bottle of Absolut Vodka to the value of £15 from Co-op in London Road, Brighton, used threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause harassment, damaged a door belonging to William Collier House, stole a bottle of Smirnoff Vodka, Gordons Gin and Pimms from a dwelling in Robert Street, Brighton after entering as a trespasser, two counts of resisting arrest. Jailed for a total of 18 weeks.

Said Lachall, 42, of Grand Parade, Brighton, changed plea to guilty for using violence to enter a premises at Seafield Road, Hove. Remanded on bail until June 11 for pre-sentence report to be prepared.

Mark Warren Mcloughin, 28, of Horsa Close, Eastbourne, proved in his absence of driving a Vauxhall on Rushlake Crescent, Eastbourne otherwise than in accordance with a licence authorising him to drive a motor vehicle of that class and without insurance. Fined £350, licence endorsed, ordered to pay victim surcharge of £35 and costs of £85.

Emma Marie Quinn, 32, of Warrior Square, St Leonards, pleaded guilty to stealing DVDs worth £35.94 from the Original Factory Shop in St Leonards Road, Bexhill, and committed an additional offence whilst the subject of a conditional discharge. Jailed for eight weeks suspended for six months.

Patrick Barrs, 58, of Down Terrace, Brighton, changed plea to guilty of threatening to break windows belonging to the Department of Work and Pensions, harassed a woman by leaving presents on the steps of the Job Centre and had in John Street, Brighton a locking knife. Community order made and ordered to pay victim surcharge of £60.
