I am writing this letter as I feel I have to thank our wonderful staff of the A&E department at the Royal Sussex County Hospital.

Unfortunately I had to visit last Saturday night due to an erratic heartbeat. However, from the moment I was seen, nothing was too much trouble.

The kindness and treatment I received was remarkable, not only to me but also my husband. A cup of tea goes a long way, especially being taken to a ward at 5.30am. How they do their jobs is amazing, not knowing what’s coming through the doors and treating everyone so sympathetically is beyond me.

Thank goodness there are people who are so devoted and make this world a better place.
