Most unsigned musicians spend years trying to get the break they need.
So Ben Griffith was shocked when he was contacted out of the blue by a major advertising agency and picked to appear in a series of adverts for Ford.
As part of the deal he was given a brand new Ford Focus for six months in order to drive around the country to play gigs.
Photos of him on tour and rehearsing are now being splashed across national newspapers as part of the campaign.
But despite the excitement Ben, from Brighton, has also been criticised by some online bloggers for "selling out."
He said: "I know I've made the right decision.
"I'm still making the music I want to make and this is a great way to get myself heard all across the country.
"I was really surprised when I was contacted out of the blue but it's very exciting and nice to have a new car to get around in.
"We'll have to wait and see where it leads."
