The news item about the accident black spot outside my house on the A26 at Stoneham, near Lewes (The Argus, December 21), encouraged me to write and tell you my New Year's resolution is to take a first aid course in case further serious injuries occur on this stretch of road before East Sussex County Council takes action to improve its safety.
Do any other readers have similar plans? If not, perhaps instead they would support my good intentions by writing to Councillor Matthew Locke at East Sussex County Council, St Anne's Crescent, Lewes BN7 1UE, asking him to give renewed consideration to remedial works and a reduction of the speed limit at this dangerous spot.
