MORE THAN 400 leading lights from the creative industries attended a “more not working than networking” event at a disused warehouse.
Glug Brighton was held in Circus Street Market on Friday night in recognition of the site’s proposed regeneration.
The redevelopment includes new workshop spaces for small and start up creative businesses, a new commercial space for growing creative and digital businesses, a new library and student halls for the University of Brighton.
Carl Rush, of Brighton design group Crush Creative, which organizes Glug with illustration agency Agency Rush, said: “It was great to have the event in this old warehouse.
“It’s been derelict for years and we are really backing the Circus Street Market redevelopment - it will create a fantastic new creative area in the city.”
Martyn Evans, creative director of Cathedral Group, presented the regeneration scheme for the Circus Street area. It is currently being considered by the council’s planning department.
