The Emporium Cafe
What a brilliant jewel in the theatre crown Brighton has in the Emporium Theatre on London Road.
Their performances would put a lot of the West End to shame.
With each visit I had there you came out saying to yourself: “This is what theatre is all about.”
Their latest complicated and demanding performance of Sondheim's Into the Woods was more than brilliant.
The strong cast all gave Oscar winning performances that left one in disbelief at the talent on offer.
Special praise for the lighting and set design.
How sad that more young people were not in attendance, but of course they are super-glued to their mobile phones and iPads.
