I was deeply moved to see Purple Poppy wreaths that honour the animals who served in wars among the magnificent display surrounded by poppies on the Causeway roundabout in Arundel.
One was also laid on The War Memorial in the town square. It is gratifying to see animals included in Arundel’s WW1 commemorations.
Throughout history, animals have been innocently caught up in human conflict.
They played a vital part and their loyalty and bravery will never be forgotten.
I would like to say thank you Arundel for including those animals who served.
