HUNDREDS of musicians will take part in a silent march and an afternoon of festivities as part of a “pouring of empathy” to those affected by the Gaza and Israel crisis.

Thousands are expected to turn out next weekend at the launch of Brighton for Peace tomorrow.

Employers including The Student Room and Wired Sussex joined forces as part of a network of volunteers to raise funds for impartial humanitarian organisations via the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC).

The event will start with a Walk for Peace along Brighton and Hove seafront, beginning at the Angel of Peace statue at 1.30pm.

Participants will then silently march to the Concorde 2, where a whole day of festivities is planned.

Adam Gill, one of the campaign’s lead volunteers, said: “This is not a political event, just about a pouring of empathy. It doesn’t matter where you are from, we are all human and this must stop.”
