A popular park has reopened after being shut following severe flooding.
Homefield Park in Worthing was closed at the end of July after a month’s worth of rain fell in the space of an hour, overwhelming local drainage systems.
Extensive work has been carried out to clean the flood-affected areas in the park, with the playground, skate park and paths having all been disinfected.
However people using the park, particularly the grassed areas, are advised to wash their hands afterwards, especially before eating and drinking, as a precaution.
