THE LAST two working Lancaster bombers were set to have an emotional reunion in front of the last generation of RAF men to fly them.
But sadly The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum has had to pull its Lancaster out of the show due to engine difficulties.
The museum reported yesterday that during a flight from Durham Tees Valley Airport it performed a precautionary engine shutdown.
It landed safely without incident and is now hangared undergoing maintenance but cannot attend any weekend events.
The other working Lancaster is still set to appear at the show.
