A teenager was threatened with a bottle by a gang demanding cigarettes and money.
The 16-year-old boy was approached by two young men and a woman walking along Broadwater Road in Worthing close to Northbrook College at about 5.30pm on Thursday.
The teenager told the group he didn’t have any cigarettes but after walking past the group a second time on his return from the shop, he was asked once again for cigarettes and by the two men who threatened him with a bottle.
The boy kept walking and was unhurt in the incident which left him very shaken.
The boy’s harassers were all aged about 18 with one man wearing a blue-and-white bandana.
