A FURTHER education college senior official is to resign from his post.
The deputy chief executive officer of City College Brighton and Hove steps down later this month.
Colin Henderson is leaving to pursue new opportunities.
He is looking to move into part-time work and his family is also considering a move abroad.
He follows deputy principal James Mettyear who recently took up a post at Sussex Coast College in Hastings, believed to be a promotion.
City College said the departures were not related to a round of redundancies throughout June and July.
A spokesman for City College said: “New appointments will be made for these posts around the start of 2015 and, in the meantime, we have interim appointees.
“No other members of the senior leadership team have left the college.”
The college added there were no changes to its capital plan.
College principal Lynn Thackway said: “This is a new term and we are looking at a very positive start to the year.”
