A wheelchair-bound pensioner who was injured after being knocked down by a car has died in hospital from her injuries.
Edna Hillier, 83, from Birkdale Close in Worthing, was being pushed in her wheelchair by her 79-year-old husband when she was hit by a black Honda Jazz which crashed into her wheelchair.
The accident happened in Liverpool Gardens, Worthing, at just after 11am on Tuesday August 26.
Mrs Hillier died from her injuries at the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, on Friday.
A post-mortem has been held but results of further tests are awaited to establish the cause of death.
