Charlotte Edwards, 47, of Myrtle Grove, Patching, Worthing, pleaded guilty to obstructing free passage along Littlehampton Road on August 30. Fined £50 plus a £20 victim surcharge.

Edward Charles Doe, 54, of Cotswold Road, Salvington, Worthing, was convicted in his absence of using an untaxed Nissan. Fined £200 plus vehicle excise back duty of £46.67 and costs of £90.

Peter James Baker, 41, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to stealing eight pairs of Adidas fleece pants from Sports Direct, one box of Lego from Toybarnhaus and a meal from The China Palace restaurant, all in Worthing. Sentenced to six weeks in prison and ordered to pay £167.79 compensation.

Philip Roland Forrest, 34, of Broadwater Street East, Worthing, pleaded guilty to drink driving, driving without a licence for the class of vehicle used and without insurance. Fined £350, £85 costs and £60 victim surcharge. Disqualified from driving for 36 months.

Frederick Dewey, 33, of Kingsley Close, Worthing, pleaded guilty to stealing three bottles of Smirnoff vodka from Morrisons in Newland Street, Worthing. Fined £75, ordered to pay £40 costs and £20 victim surcharge.

John Luke Toth, 21, of Whitebeam Road, Durrington, pleaded guilty to stealing a joint of beef and a theft charge of stealing a number of coffee jars from Co-op in Worthing while on a conditional discharge. Four week electronic tag curfew given and ordered to pay £61 compensation and £60 victim surcharge.

Terrence White, 24, of Pavilion Road, West Tarring, pleaded guilty to stealing three DVDs from Sainsbury’s in Chichester, driving without a licence and without insurance. Discharged conditionally for 12 months, fined £135, £85 costs and £20 victim surcharge. Licence endorsed with six points.

Patrick Desmond Rose, 39, of Tower Road, Worthing, pleaded guilty to two charges of stealing a Dyson Hoover from Beales Store, Worthing and one charge of attempting to steal a Panasonic flat screen television from the same store. Sentenced to four months in prison.

Philip David Geale, 47, of Station Road, Worthing, pleaded guilty to dangerous driving along Half Moon Lane, Worthing. Also found guilty of theft of a bottle of wine from Morrisons in Worthing and using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour. Sentenced to six weeks in prison suspended for 12 months and given a curfew order for 12 months. Ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £80.

Sudthanom Gent, 46, of Rusper Road South, Worthing, found guilty of assault by beating. Fined £110, £50 compensation and £20 victim surcharge.

Christin Griffin, 37, Maybridge Crescent, Goring, found guilty of assaulting a PC in the execution of their duty. Ordered to do 60 hours unpaid community work, pay £770 compensation, £500 costs and £65 victim surcharge.

Charlie Hill, 22, Findon Road, Worthing, found guilty of stealing gift cards from Co-op in Worthing and assault by beating. Also pleaded guilty to two charges of failing to surrender to custody, stealing boxer shorts and a hooded top from Sports Direct and committing an offence while subject to a conditional discharge. Supervision order made for six months, ordered to pay £60 victim surcharge and £50 compensation.
