A SCHOOLBOY who was critically injured in a playground will meet his life savers.
Harvey Tagorti, will be able to thank members of the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance team who rescued him when he was knocked unconscious in a park in Crawley.
He will meet the crew and tour the helicopter at the Redhill Aerodrome with his mum Faye Hankin on Wednesday. 29/10 The eight-year-old – who had fallen in a puddle – had to be put into an induced coma at the scene in April.
The charity’s doctor Matt Davenport and critical care paramedic Stu Plumbley had to act swiftly because the damage to his head was so serious.
Harvey, of Crawley, was flown by pilots Dan Kitteridge and Dan Vickers to St George’s Hospital, in London, where he was operated on twice and missed his birthday – remaining in a coma for eight days.
After being the first paediatric patient flown into the hospital on the new rooftop helipad, Harvey spent four weeks there before going home and making a full recovery.
