A MAN was hit over the head with a bottle in a club on Sunday.

Sussex Police are appealing for witnesses to the attack in Bedrock Bar, West Street, when a 22-year-old was attacked by two men.

The incident took place at about 1.20am in the smoking area of the Brighton bar.

The victim was treated at the Royal Sussex County Hospital for head injuries and was discharged later that morning.

A police spokesman said: “One attacker was described as mixed race, in his early twenties, 6 ft, with black hair,which was short on the sides and longer on top. The second man was described as black, skinny, and in his twenties, with very short black hair.

“Police arrived shortly after the incident and arrested a 22-year old man on suspicion of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm.

“He was later released on police bail until January 6 2015 while enquiries continue.”
