A HALLOWEEN attraction has enlisted vampish celebrities for a campaign to get more young people to give blood.

Shocktober Fest Scream Park, near Crawley, is collaborating with NHS Blood and Transplant to raise awareness of the need for blood donors.

The spooky attraction, voted the top scare in the country, has launched a social media campaign with a bite under #Giveblood.

Hove DJ Norman Cook, aka Fatboy Slim, superstar Brighton beauty blogger Zoella, and Jake Roche and Jesy Nelson of pop bands Rixton and Little Mix are backing the Blood Donors Have Spirit campaign.

Young people are asked to “save a vampire” and do their bit by registering to become blood donors.

Darren Bowen, of NHS Blood and Transplant, said: “We need 7,000 people every day to donate in England and North Wales to maintain vital blood stocks for the population.

“I would particularly like to encourage young people to become the donors of the future as evidence shows that if you start donating before the age of 26, you’re likely to keep donating for the rest of your life.”

Shoktober’s 19 Fright Nights run from October 4 to November 2.
