CHARITY, education, hospitality and digital representatives were taken on a tour of 10 Downing Street – and had a meeting with the Prime Minister.
The Brighton and Hove industry leaders enjoyed the tour of Parliament courtesy of Hove MP Mike Weatherley and Hove parliamentary candidate Graham Cox. On the visit were Imelda Glackin, chief executive of Martlets Hospice, Mark Cannon, chairman of Shiverers Swimming Club, Joi Jones, honorary secretary of Secret Garden Group, Phil Jones, managing director of Wired Sussex, Katherine Laux, head of governors at King's School, Nick Mosley, managing director of Brighton and Hove Food and Drink Festival, Paul Smith, founder of Sussex Functional Skills Centre, Dr Maria Antoniou, interim director of Brighton and Hove LGBT switchboard, and Steve Harmer-Strange, governor at Hillside School.
Mr Mosley said: “We had a fascinating tour with Mike and Graham of the Houses of Parliament, followed by a very rare opportunity of a visit to 10 Downing Street where we had a few minutes with David Cameron.
“It was an amazing experience shared with colleagues from both the business and third sectors of Brighton and Hove.”
