It is just the beginning of autumn and already the council is blaming leaves for the flooding.
If the council had sent out the gully cleaners in the dry weather and emptied them they would not have been full of rubbish.
I can take you round Moulsecoomb and show you drains that are full up with rubbish and weeds growing out of them.
These gully pots are about a metre deep and they don’t fill up in a matter of days.
It took me to get our local MP Simon Kirby to get involved to get the drains in Goodwood Way cleaned out.
If he had not got involved I was told that it would have taken until 2015 until they were cleaned out.
But as this is the responsibility of City clean what do we expect?
