A Newhaven woman gave a dead good effort when she made this spooky mummy for Halloween.
Sandra Watkins, 60, of Gibbon Road, spent about ten hours creating the ghoulish character in the run-up to today’s big day.
Nicknamed Eric, Sandra made the mummy by sewing a hooded top onto a pair of leggings and then stuffing the body with plastic bags. She said: “We’ve done something for the past three years, mainly to keep the young kids next door entertained when they come over trick or treating. I decided to call him Eric from the start and I think I’ve grown attached to him now so he can stay even after Halloween.”
Husband Gary said: “He’s a looker. She’s done a good job.”
