RAIL enthusiasts came from miles around to catch a train with a difference.
Brighton and Hove Toy and Model museum held one of their running days, where they power up more than a dozen of their rare machines.
Nick Gibson, assistant manager at the Trafalgar Street museum, said the day was a fantastic success.
He said: “We don’t run these days very often because the models are very valuable.
“It was great, it was really busy all day with enthusiasts and families.”
Mr Gibson arranges the running days to coincide with a significant event – this time the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run.
It also had a French theme, with a number of French locomotives and French-built models among the collection.
Mr Gibson said he was in the process of organising the museum’s next event.
