I note S Zappello (November 17) considers ‘skillful’ bus drivers are underpaid for the work they do.
Maybe they are, but how about the seemingly ‘unskillful’ types driving buses who appear not to have a clue how to operate the bus foot brake.
Between 2.45 and 4.15 pm on Friday of last week three buses sailed past without stopping at the bus stop at Downland Road, Woodingdean.
On phoning the bus depot to ask why, I was told these buses were probably running late and to make up the lost time the drivers didn’t stop.
It takes some believing but that is exactly what I was told. Over to you Martin Harris, managing director of Brighton and Hove Buses.
