A MAN has been arrested after a bus driver was racially abused early this morning.
The driver of an N25 Brighton and Hove bus in the city's Old Steine was subject to the verbal attack.
Adrian Tullet, Brighton and Hove Bus Company head of operations, said the incident was being investigated.
He said: “The company takes threatening behaviour and actual assaults on staff very seriously.”
A Twitter user said passengers were “stranded” in the bus until Sussex Police attended the incident.
David Campbell, 57, of Colbourne Avenue, Brighton, has been charged with using threatening and abusing language and behaviour with intent to cause fear or provoke violence.
He has been bailed to appear before court on December 18.
