FIREWOOD was stolen from the front porch of a house the day after it was delivered.
About 150 logs were taken from a property in Hartfield Road, Seaford, between 1am and 8am last Friday.
Police are warning the public to be on their guard following the theft.
Sergeant Stuart Mullins said: “This is an unusual offence and we are warning all residents who use wood as fuel to be on their guard, especially if they have recently had or are about to have a new delivery.
“Also if anybody saw any suspicious activity around the time of the theft we would like to hear from you.”
