There are two factors which would increase road safety at the junction of Mackie Avenue and Ladies Mile Road, pictured below.

The privet hedge adjacent obscures children who run on to the zebra crossing from approaching road traffic even at low speed.

The other problem is the children themselves who play a game of dashing on to the crossing at the last second only to turn and slowly leave, sometimes laughing at the driver.

They need to be made aware of the danger of their actions.

No one wishes to injure anyone but look at the situation and find a solution rather than a knee-jerk reaction with massive changes.
