BRIGHTON’S Great British Bake Off contestant Kate Henry, will be guest judge at a cake baking competition.
The Cake Off has been organised by Brighton charity Team Kenya, which supports the Luo tribe through education and empowerment.
The winner will receive afternoon tea for two at The Grand Hotel and there will be a raffle with prizes from city firms. Entry is open to anyone who can bake a cake of their own special design.
Contestants must bring their cake to the Thomas Kemp Pub in St George’s Road, Brighton, at 2pm on December 13.
Kate, who took part in this year’s BBC1 contest, will be at the event to talk to contestants as well being a judge.
Entry is free but visitors are encouraged to make a £5 donation and in return organisers will give them cake, a cup of tea and a raffle ticket.
There will also be a chance to swap tips and advice.
