A CAT got stuck up a tree.
Firefighters were called at 3.45pm yesterday to reports of the feline in trouble.
The RSPCA were already at the scene in Warren Lane, Cross In Hand, near Heathfield.
A retained fire crew from Heathfield used a ladder to reach the cat and handed it over to the RSPCA at about 4.20pm.
The cat, a white and tabby female, had become stuck at a point where there were no branches to help it get down.
An RSPCA inspector said: “There was no way she would be able to get down without help.”
The cat was unharmed and OK.
