A TRIBUTE has been paid to a teenager who has passed away.

Kyle Burchall, believed to be 17, passed away on Wednesday evening.

A tribute page set up on Facebook has more than 650 ‘likes’ from well-wishing friends.

Dorothy Stringer High School, where Kyle was a pupil, is creating a memory book for friends and family to sign and headteacher Richard Bradford paid a special tribute to the youngster whose untimely death has “devastated” the school.

He said: “Kyle was a big hearted, generous and kind young man. He spent a lot of time helping other people.

“He was very popular at school with students and teachers and had a large friendship group.

“Everyone is devastated at the news and are thinking of his family and loved ones.”

A vigil for Kyle, who worked at McDonalds in Brighton, will be held at Hollingdean Skate Park at 7.30pm on Saturday. Friends said they will release lanterns and balloons in his memory.
