A man with learning difficulties was punched in the face.

The 18-year-old victim was standing outside the entrance to Sussex Coast College in Station Approach, Hastings, when he was approached by a teenage boy who hit him in the face.

The victim suffered a swollen lip but did not need to go to hospital.

The attacker was white, 16 or 17, 5' 6" and slim with brown hair. He was wearing a black jumper with writing on the front.

Response investigator Anthony Lavelle said: "This is a particularly busy public area, especially at this time of day, and there may be a number of witnesses who saw the assault.

"If you were near the train station or near the college and saw anything, please contact us."

The assault happened at about 5pm on Thursday 20 November but Sussex Police have only just released infromation on the attack.
