A MAN is in hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries after being attacked outside a nightclub.
Two men have been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm over the attack.
Police were called at 3.50am to Pool Valley outside the The Haunt nightclub, just off the seafront in the centre of Brighton.
The victim, a local man in his 20s, was taken to Hurstwood Park Hospital, Haywards Heath, with potentially life-threatening head injuries.
A 21-year-old man and a 23-year old man, both from Brighton, have been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and are in custody. Detectives say it was not a random attack.
Police have sealed off the scene while the incident is investigated.
There has been some disruption to National Express coach services, as one of its coach stations is in Pool Valley.
