Squatters take over central Brighton property
SQUATTERS have reportedly held a loud party after taking over a property in central Brighton.
The former HMV building in Western Road, Brighton, was taken over by the group on Saturday.
Residents reported loud music ongoing throughout the night and police were called to the incident and instructed them to turn it off.
There are unconfirmed reports from neighbours of a “rave” being held in the building overnight on Saturday and into Sunday morning.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said the squat is being treated as a civil dispute between the occupiers and the building’s owners.
