Police are appealing for information after expensive musical instruments and equipment were stolen in two burglaries.
The first raid happened at a house in Grafton Street, Brighton. A brown double bass, about 6ft 2in tall worth £6,000 was stolen.
Also taken was a £500 orangecoloured bass guitar, a black amplifier worth about £550 in a black bag with "Acoustic Image" on it, and a black David Eden speaker model CXM110 valued at £300.
The burglary happened between 7.30pm on Saturday and 5.30am the next day.
The incident followed a break-in on Monday, January 29, at Ventnor Villas, Hove.
Between 9.15am and midday thieves stole an Ibanez NDM1 electric guitar with grey gaffer tape wrapped around it in a black rectangular hard case, together worth £500.
An Ovation Pinnacle acoustic guitar in a hard black Ovation case, worth £300, was also stolen.
The Ovation guitar is black with a shiny edge and a leaf pattern around the sound hole.
Police are not linking the burglaries.
