A parcel measuring approximately 18in by 6in square was deposited outside my flat recently. It was not addressed to me but to someone in Mandalay Court, which is further down London Road.
I telephoned the Post Office's customer services number and informed them of the situation. I said I would leave the parcel outside the flat the following morning to be picked up by the postman, as I leave the flat before he or she arrives.
I was told I couldn't do this. If I did so and the parcel got lost, I would be liable. What do I do with it?
