A GERMAN bomb from World War One has been detonated safely on the beach after it was found at an empty house.
The device was detonated by the Royal Navy Fleet Diving Squadron bomb disposal unit after it was found at a house in Orchard Avenue, Tarring, on Monday.
Onlookers gathered to watch the explosion this afternoon on Worthing beach.
