TROUBLESOME herring gulls ruined freshly laid turf outside the Brighton's Royal Pavilion.
The city’s famous seagulls decided to make a mess of another of Brighton’s iconic mascots as they attacked the grass which had been freshly laid after the removal of the seasonal Royal Pavilion Ice Rink.
The wet weather left the intrepid seagulls digging for bugs outside the former royal residence as they pulled out chunks of grass and earth.
A Brighton and Hove City Council spokesman said the council also sometimes had problems with the seagulls attacking the city’s bowling greens.
