TALKS between binmen and council bosses have reached a “crucial” point in resolving the Brighton and Hove Bin strikes.
The GMB announced this afternoon following a ballot by their members the ongoing work to rule will remain live but there will be no more days of strike action over the next month.
Branch secretary Mark Turner assured “providing everything goes according to plan there will be no further industrial action”.
He said talks between the two organisations are reaching a "crucial point" but added the work to rule will be continuing.
The union said there are no further plans for days of strike action while talks with the council continue on until the March 30.
Richard Bradley, head of Cityclean, described the current talks as “very constructive”.
