CAMPAIGNERS will call on Brighton and Hove City Council to compulsory purchase a Victorian bath house at a public meeting tonight.

A petition calling on the council to force the sale of Medina House in Kings Esplanade, Hove, will be given to the policy and resources committee.

Developer Sirus Taghan has made nine applications over the past 16 years to demolish the building for housing.

The petition, launched by Save Hove campaigner Valerie Paynter, has attracted more than 180 signatures online and a paper petition is also being presented.

A petition will be presented by Stanmer Park Horse Rescue Centre calling for the park horse rescue centre to be preserved.
