Love is in the air for these mini monkeys, which made an impression on each other as well as visitors to Drusillas Zoo.
Lucy and Tiny Tim are emperor tamarins. They were introduced at the zoo near Alfriston last year, when they were bought together as part of a European breeding programme to ensure the species' survival.
The threatened species is found naturally in the tropical rainforests of Central and South America.
They take their name from the 19th Century Emperor Wilhelm II of Germany, who they are said to resemble on account of their distinctive moustaches.
Tiny Tim, from Barcelona Zoo, and Lucy, from Marwell Zoo in Winchester, were brought together on a blind date.
Cupid's arrow was right on target and the pair hit it off straightaway.
Zookeepers are hopeful it will not be too long before they hear the pitter-patter of tiny tamarin feet - the perfect furry-tail ending to a right royal romance.
