A quiz show contestant who won £50,000 is hoping to win £1million in the grand final.

Victoria Brown, 38, is celebrating after winning the top prize on an episode of ITV's Pokerface.

Miss Brown, of Walmer Crescent, Brighton, said: "I thought I was going to be nervous but I wasn't at all. I thought 'I'm going for it."

She described hosts Ant and Dec as "Fantastic".

The £50,000 she has won acts as her stake in the final, which will be filmed on March 1 and screened two days later. The top prize on offer is £1million.

She said: "I'm going for the money all the way. I feel really confident."

Pokerface was created by Ant and Dec and is shown on ITV's Saturday prime-time slot.

As the name suggests, it is inspired by the trick of bluffing used in the card game Poker.

Contestants on the quiz don't necessarily have to get questions right to win. They can bluff and put pressure on their opponents to fold.

Miss Brown, who appeared on Saturday's show, shares her home with her fiancee, Wayne Smith, 34, and their four children.
