Blending pop, punk and indie with some serious fashion awareness, these guys know that when it comes to pop, image is equally as important as music.
The five-piece art rock band from Sheffield have been booked to support the Kaiser Chiefs and released new single Giddy Stratospheres last week.
With the emphasis on glamorous punk and front-woman Kate Jackson's vocals, it is easy to draw comparison with Blondie's Debbie Harry. This ambitious group desperately want fame but fame that does not cost them their integrity.
"We want artistic freedom, and cash," they say.
For this reason, the Long Blondes spent a long time picking and choosing the perfect record deal, eventually settling with independent label Rough Music.
With this group (all of whom are brunette, the name coming from their ideal pop group comprised of Nancy Sinatra and Barbara Windsor among others) it is about the whole package, audio and visual.
With that in mind, dispense with the over-intellectualising, pull out your most glamorous togs and join the girls and boys of the Long Blondes to dance the night away.
