FOUR men have been jailed for conspiring to arrange the prostitution of a child.

Stephen Daramola, 48, of Park Lane, Eastbourne; Khosrow Sobhanieh, 56, of North Lane, Guestling, near Hastings; Mohammed Kamali, 46, of Harper Rd, Newhaven; and Christopher Kayla-Joseph, 27, of Elphick Rd, Newhaven, were sentenced today after a three-week trial at Hove Crown Court.

Jurors had heard how Kayla-Joseph met the 16-year-old victim on the street in Eastbourne, giving her alcohol and drugs before taking her to Kamali's flat where she was raped by Sobhanieh and sexually assaulted by Daramola, both of whom paid cash.

Sentencing at Hove Crown Court today, Judge Richard Hayward said the four had shown "no remorse" over the crimes, which took place in 2013.

Sobhanieh was also convicted of one offence of rape and one of attempted rape. He had previously pleaded guilty to unlawfully posessing a firearm. He was jailed for 14 years.

Kayla-Joseph was also convicted of two offences of supplying cocaine, and was jailed for five years.

Daramola was also convicted of supplying cocaine and sexual assault, and was jailed for six years.

Kamali was also convicted of supplying cocaine and was jailed for five years.
