Police discover cannabis factories in Sussex once every two weeks, new figures have shown.
A total of 26 factories were found across Sussex between September 2005 and November 2006.
More than 5,000 cannabis plants were seized during police raids.
Sussex police released the details after charity Drugscope claimed that the number of cannabis farms being discovered by police across Britain had trebled in the last two years.
Drugscope's magazine said over 60 per cent of cannabis sold in the UK was grown in this country, compared to 11 per cent ten years ago.
