It saddens me to read that my letter (Letters, March 5), which was written in response to an earlier letter from Valerie Paynter, was so totally misinterpreted. I was just making a noise on behalf of all those who support the King Alfred project in the only way I know how. If I've offended anyone it was certainly not intended and I apologise profusely.
